Happenings at CSCAC

ACGBR’s Spring Break Artsplosion! had some 50 kiddos grades K-6 roaming the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center and various points of downtown looking for bugs with artist/biologist Brandon Ballengée, a Guggenheim Fellow, who with wife Aurore, brought a level of excitement we haven’t experienced in a while with their Bug Boot Camp. There was even a choreographed La Cooca Racha dance! And, when WBRZ found out we had a building full of young folks, they came a filmed them for 2une-In’s daily Pledge of Allegiance.

Associated Women in the Arts held a reception March 30 officially opening its member exhibition in the Shell Gallery at the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center. Friends and family joined them for an evening of art, comradery, delish food and libations. Seen here are, from left, Vice President Gail Lloyd, Kay Wallace, Treasurer Bettsie Miller, President Monica Wood, Secretary SuEllen Lithgoe and Exhibitions Chairwoman Claire Wilson.
