To kick off the Protective Styles exhibition in the Shell Gallery, there will be a discussion panel with guest curator John Alleyne, Alexandra Barbier, and exhibiting artists Rita Harper and KeishaDStylist. The panelists will have an open discussion on defining “protective styles” and sharing their own experiences with them. There will also be a 10 minute performance art piece performed by Alexandra Barbier. There will be a Q&A segment after the discussion that is open to all attendees. This panel is free and open to the public.
