Volunteer with Us
We can’t serve the community without the support of engaged volunteers like you!
The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge hosts multiple large scale events throughout the year that depend on the generous time and effort of the community to help make them successes. Please see below for volunteer opportunities and regularly check back as the year progresses for new or recurring events.
Grant Panelist
The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge annually assembles a grant panel to review the Louisiana Project Grants in the summer (actual panel date TBD). Panelists must reside within the 10-parish service area of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge. If you are interested in serving as a panelist, please fill out the application linked below.
Contact Brianna Jeansonne, the Director of Grants and Community Outreach, at bjeansonne@artsbr.org or at (225) 344-8558 ext. 209 with any additional concerns or questions.
Festival of Lights Volunteer
Baton Rouge’s oldest holiday tradition transforms the winter sky into a wonderland. The Mayor lights North Boulevard with half a million sparkling lights. Experience the magic beneath the 25-foot Christmas tree in North Boulevard Town Square. Enjoy the arts market for Christmas gift shopping, live music, dance performances, and fireworks!
Assist staff and market vendors throughout the night.
MPAC Event Volunteer
This year, the Arts Council put the upcoming MPAC theme to a public vote. Votes were taken from the comments across all of our social media platforms and counted. Old Hollywood exceeded all other theme options and has been announced as MPAC 2025’s theme.
We will need volunteers for setting up in the days before the event, as well as volunteers for during the event itself.
