The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge is highlighting local creative expressions on the powerful subject of Black hair and its cultural significance for our upcoming Black History Month exhibition, "Protective Styles: Narratives on Black Hair within Contemporary Art." Join us in breaking the chains of hair interrogation through contemporary art.
The opening reception on February 2nd will take place at the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center in the Shell Gallery and is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
