The opening reception for the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge’s Highlights of the Derek Gordon & Rodolfo Ramirez Collection: A Retrospective is at 5:30 p.m. on May 11 in the Shell Gallery of the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center. The exhibit includes some 50-plus carefully curated items from among the individual art pieces in the collection assembled by Gordon and Ramirez throughout their lives.
