The Elizabeth Droessler Master Class Series at the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center is a potpourri of Fine Arts Classes geared toward anyone who should like to participate from grade 9 through adult.  This four-week course of study brings together a slate of instructors who are both practicing artists in their respective fields as well as educators.  This Master Class Series is $50 per unique class to enroll however space is extremely limited. Enrollment in multiple classes is permitted as long as session times do not overlap.

FINE ARTS SATURDAYS

SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER

8:30am - 10:00am

  • Charcoal Drawing with Mike Weary- Led by Mike Weary, attendees will learn how to find their voices through charcoal.

  • Crocheting with Melissa Holt- Learning the basics of crochet, one stitch at a time.

    8:30am - 11:45am

  • Shooting a Short Film with Clay Achee- Students will get a crash course in filmmaking and get to write, produce, and create a short film.

10:15am - 11:45am

  • Painting with Watercolors with April Hammock- Discover basic techniques in watercolor painting, focusing on figurative, landscape, and abstract subject matter.

    12:30pm - 2:30pm

  • Jazz Improv Workshop with Mike Esneault & Doug Stone- This workshop is designed to develop improvisation skills in a small combo/class setting. The class will provide an opportunity to rehearse, create, and perform music together in a supportive and inspiring environment. The final session culminates in a recording session.

  • Dance For All Adaptive Workshop with Kaitlyn Odell & Bailey Floyd- Dance For All is a multi-tiered program created to widen dance opportunities to those with disabilities and/or limited access to the art form.
