Congressional Art Competition Sep 6 Written By Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge Congressman Garret Graves hosted a reception in the Shell Gallery at the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center Aug. 24 to announce the winner of the Louisiana 6th Congressional District Art Competition, judged by a blind jury assembled by Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge Director of Visual Arts Lundyn Herring. This year’s winner, Emma Collett, was unable to attend the reception. Her painting, The Silent Scream, will hang in the halls of the United States Capitol.
