When You Wish…
Some 200 students from Central, McKinley and Scotlandville High; Baker Heights Elementary; Caneview K-8; and Homeschool Ventures were treated to a special performance of When You Wish Upon a Star at the Manship Theatre Nov. 16 as part of Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and Manship's outreach mission. Following their River City Jazz Master performance the night before, the New York-based artists performed jazz interpretations of 100 years of Disney classics. They also talked about the history of the films and invited students to participate via "call and response" on certain songs before inviting them to sing along with Remember Me from the movie Coco.
